Monica Byrne, CNM, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Detroit-Mercy in Detroit, MI, and her Masters of Nursing in MIdwifery at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL.  Monica and her husband relocated to Northern Virginia in 2003.  Since joining the Adler Center in 2004 she has had two children, Julia in 2006 and Joel in 2008.  Having children herself has broadened her perpective of midwifery care and she particularly enjoys working with women in their chilbearing years.  Monica also loves to cook, travel when possible, and of course, spend time with her family.
